Our History
In 1972
Jerome Kropp set forth to pursue his entrepreneurial vision in South Bend, Indiana, founding Kropp Fire Protection Inc. For the next 16 years, he owned and operated the company with dedication and integrity.
In 1988
Jerome passed the baton to James Duff and Terry Boersema. James departed in 2002, leaving Terry as the sole owner until October 2022. Always well respected both personally and professionally, Terry built the solid foundation that continues to support Kropp Fire Protection Inc. today.
In October 2022
Travis, Justin, and Jeffrey Keiper—lifelong fire protection professionals—purchased the company. With decades of industry experience, their transition into ownership was a natural progression. In just three years, they have more than doubled the company’s size, with no signs of slowing down.
